The research group "Molecular LEGO Bricks" (AK Börner) is currently in the process to be relocated to the Humboldt-University in the science center of Berlin. In the newly established "Laboratory of Organic Synthesis of functional Systems" several positions are available on the Ph.D., Diploma and Master levels.
The following research topics can be offered: (1.) Colloidal supports for peptide and bioconjugate synthesis (collaboration with C. Giordano, MPIKG and M. Niederberger, ETH Zurich), (2.) Bioconjugates for Industry (collaboration with Henkel), (3.) Specific adhesives - smarter glues for biomedical applications, and (4.) Next generation solid-phase supports for functional bioconjugates (collaboration with H. Schlaad, MPIKG). The research will be conducted at the Humboldt-University.
Applications from highly motivated, smart and hard-working students are encouraged.
Research experiences in organic and/or polymer synthesis are required and biochemistry background might be of advantage in some projects.
