The work was prepared in Centre de Recherche Paul-Pascal (CRPP)
Thesis Supervisors: Prof. B. Pouligny, Prof. P. Kralchevsky and Prof. K. Danov
Thesis Title: Hydrodynamic properties of model lipid membranes: study by means of optical trapping manipulation of particles
... and I became an (optical) trapper and
a Dr. on vesicles.
January 2000: started a postdoctoral work at the Max-Planck-Institute for Colloids and Surfaces, Theory Division, Golm, Germany

* My first name is usually confused with Rumina, Romina, Rumania or Romania. The latter is a country, I'm not.
However, I'm open to new suggestions as a variation of the name. :-)

to my CV
According to the last update of my passport by the Bulgarian authorities my name was changed from Rumiana to Rumyana...
And that is only because in reality the correct
spelling is "
" ...
Blame all this confusion to our Cyrillic alphabet.

* The tough vesicles usually look like this: (for details have a look at our study on polymersomes) |
