Support Science
Friends of the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces e.V.
We are a non-profit association based in Potsdam. Our aim is to promote science and research, particularly in the field of colloid and interface research.
Support Science e.V. brings together friends of the MPIKG and our researchers. We support events, early-career researchers and networking – to ensure that science remains visible and vibrant.
Our mission
We support cutting-edge research in the field of colloid and interface science by:
- promoting scientific colloquia, conferences and symposia,
- supporting workshops, summer and winter schools, and training programmes,
- strengthening exchange and networking between scientists and the public,
- and supporting educational and outreach activities.
Networking and the support of early-career researchers are key prerequisites for scientific excellence. For this reason, the non-profit Friends’ Association was founded on 10 November 2025.
The Association sees itself as a point of contact for anyone wishing to actively support the MPIKG, whether as a private individual or as a company.
Become a member
World-class research thrives on a strong network. That is why current and former staff, as well as visitors, are just as welcome as external supporters and anyone who feels connected to the MPIKG and its research.
Through your membership, you can support the Institute in kind – with your ideas and commitment – and, if you wish, financially as well.
Benefits for members
