A Water-Splitter in a Double Role

While great hopes are pinned on hydrogen, it also presents some problems. It is energy-rich, clean and, in the form of water, of almost unlimited supply. To date, however, it has proved difficult to extract it. Scientists at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces have now found a simple, low-cost way to produce hydrogen.
