Sanskar Bhagowati
Sustainable and Bio-inspired Materials
Main Focus
I am particularly interested in:
- Optical phenomena such as circular dichroism, structural colour and electromagnetic homogenization
- Self-assembled materials and their optical properties
- Light-matter interactions in complex and chiral nanostructures
Curriculum Vitae
Sanskar Bhagowati is a PhD student in the Department of Sustainable and Bio-inspired Materials, headed by Prof. Silvia Vignolini, at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces.
Sanskar received his Integrated BS-MS degree in Physics from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata, India. During his MS thesis, conducted jointly under the supervision of Dr. Aso Rahimzadegan and Prof. Nirmalya Ghosh, he worked on Multipolar Analysis of Structural Colour in Metasurfaces and Homogenization in Metamaterials.
