Sustainable and Bio-inspired Materials
Main Focus
I am particularly interested:
- Studying the structural coloration of sea slugs and other marine organisms.
- Investigating how living organisms generate vibrant colors by creating photonic structures, and the optical properties of these photonic structures
Curriculum Vitae
Xianglian He is a PhD student in the Department of Sustainable and Bio-inspired Materials, headed by Prof. Silvia Vignolini, at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces.
Xianglian obtained her BS and MS in light chemical engineering from Sichuan University under the supervision of Prof. Junling Guo, where she mainly worked on the preparation of metal-organic based materials and biohybrids, by using naturally derived building blocks-polyphenols, which were used for biomedical applications.
