Earlier this year, 16-year-old pupil Jack Andraka made headlines. He developed a new method for diagnosing pancreatic cancer which rendered the standard method obsolete at a stroke: Jack’s test is simpler and costs a fraction of the old one. Jack will explain how he was able to make this discovery and answer questions from the floor.
Other participant: Daniel Kolarich, Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, Potsdam-Golm and Berlin
Moderated by Nick Shockey, Director, Right to Research Coalition, Washington
