Lab Coats Off, Fun On:
Potsdam Science Day 2025

We left the lab coat hanging for a day—but brought our lab equipment with us to meet more than 8,200 visitors who joined us and over 40 other research institutions at Potsdam Science Day 2025.

Now in its 12th edition, the event has become a cherished tradition for the people of Brandenburg. With 200+ hands-on activities, it drew curious minds even from the busy capital, offering a day where science could be touched, seen, smelled—and even played with.

At our 10 stations, we showcased how we learn from nature to develop sustainable solutions—from dye- and pigment-free colors to bio-inspired materials for construction, medicine, and design.
