The Electron Microscopy Group focuses on applying electron microscopy methods to study a broad range of materials but with a special interest in hybrid organic-inorganic materials and beam sensitive materials. Current research topics include:
- Nanostructured materials for energy applications
- Electron diffraction and crystallography of disordered and amorphous materials
- In situ electron microscopy (liquid cell, heating, biasing)
- Aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy
In addition the group provides service and training for electron microscopy users at MPIKG Golm.
