Prof. Peter Fratzl elected to the German National Academy of Sciences – Leopoldina
Outstanding research is only the starting point—membership in the Leopoldina, founded in 1652 and the world’s oldest continuously operating science academy, also requires peer nomination and success in a rigorous multi-stage election process.
Prof. Peter Fratzl, Director of our Biomaterials Department, has been elected a member and will contribute his expertise in the science and engineering of biological materials to help inform decision-making and science policy in Germany.
